Over the last few years, Covid-19 restrictions have prevented us from hosting our usual information session. This video explains some key information outlined in the Prep Transition Handbook. After watching the video please write down any questions you have and attend one of our school tours. Alternatively you can email our Prep Team or visit us via the school office.
Ensuring a positive start to life at Mandama
At Mandama Primary School, we understand that even though the first days of Prep are exciting, it can also be quite a nervous time for students and parents. To help students become more familiar with their new school environment we offer an extensive Transition Program that commences the previous year to your child starting school.
Our Prep Transition Program begins by inviting all parents and carers to an information evening. At this event you will hear from our Leadership Team and our Prep Teachers. Our 2024 ‘Preps in Training’ are invited to attend three transition sessions held throughout Term 4. These sessions provide our new students with the opportunity to play and learn in their new environment, meet teachers, make new friends and see their classroom prior to the first day of school. The Prep team is available to answer any questions you may have during this exciting time.

To enrol your child at Mandama Primary School you will need to fill out an enrolment form and provide the relevant documentation.

Once we have received your completed enrolment form, the school will contact you via email or post towards the end of Term 3 with information and dates related to the Prep Transition Program.
Appointments may be made at any time to tour the school with the Principal or Assistant Principal. Please do not hesitate to contact our friendly office staff to make an appointment or if you have any queries.

2024 Prep Transition Program Dates
Preps in Training - Transition Dates/Times: transition sessions will be communicated with families after enrolment in Term 4.
These usually consist of 3 short one hour sessions in mixed groups and a final session with the following year's teacher and classmates. Parents are invited to information sessions during these times.
