SUPPORT US
Want to support us at Mandama?
Mandama has established strong relationships with local organisations.
These include:
Deakin University: This includes pre-service teachers visiting the school to support the delivery of our high quality Literacy and Numeracy programs as well as to conduct Science related activities with Grade 5 and 6 students.
Local Secondary Schools: Mandama has strong links with local secondary schools to ensure the transition process from Primary to Secondary school is a smooth and successful one for all involved. Students in the upper grades regularly visit secondary schools to participate in a wide variety of activities including Sport, Science and The Arts.
Local Kindergartens: Mandama has strong links with local kindergartens to ensure the transition process from Kinder to Primary School is a smooth and successful one for all involved. Our Choir and Band visit local kinders to perform items to our future students.
Senior Citizen Centres: During the year students visit residents to participate in enjoyable activities, which include singing Christmas Carols.
Leisurelink Aquatic and Recreation Centre: Students in Grades Prep – 4 participate in a two-week swimming program. Due to the close proximity to Mandama, students walk to and from Leisurelink with parents providing additional support and supervision.
Geelong Baseball Centre at Waurn Ponds: Located close to Mandama, the school regularly uses this facility for various activities including our House Cross Country event.
Open water swimming program: In the latter part of the year, grade 5/6 students participate in the open water swimming program.
